Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026

This policy explains what StudyFlow collects when you use it, why, who processes it, and how you can delete it. StudyFlow is a study planner for college students. We use your information to run StudyFlow. We do not sell it and we do not show ads.

"We" and "us" mean Noah Xayaosa, doing business as Study Flow, the operator of StudyFlow. Noah Xayaosa is the data controller for the information described here.

Information we collect

  • Account: your email address and display name. If you sign in with email, your password is handled by our authentication service and we never see it in plain text. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us.
  • Courses and deadlines: course names, instructors, semesters, assignments, exams, due dates and whether you marked work complete.
  • Uploaded syllabi: the PDF files you upload, the text read from them, and the course details extracted for your review.
  • Saved notes: notes you choose to save in AI Study.
  • AI Study requests: what you type or paste is used to create a result. The results are shown to you and are not saved as a history. We keep a record of each request's time, type and whether it worked, to enforce usage limits.
  • Subscription: your plan, subscription status and billing dates, received from Paddle. We never receive or store card numbers.
  • Activity records: simple events such as sign-up, syllabus upload and support request, plus when you were last active, used to run and support the service.
  • Support requests: what you send through the Support page. If you tick the box, this includes details of your 5 most recent AI Study requests (type, time, status and any error).
  • Technical data: standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, handled by our hosting providers.

How syllabi are processed

Your PDF is stored privately. Our servers read the text from it and send that text to an AI model to find course details, assignments and exam dates. Nothing is added to your planner until you review it and confirm. Dates the AI is unsure about are left blank for you to check.

Service providers who process data

  • Hosting, database, file storage and sign-in: Lovable Cloud and its infrastructure providers.
  • AI processing: when you process a syllabus or use AI Study, only the details needed for that request (for example, the relevant course and deadlines, syllabus text, or the notes you pasted) are sent through the Lovable AI Gateway to an AI model provider (currently OpenAI).
  • Payments: Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record and handles checkout, billing, tax and refunds under its own privacy policy.
  • Google: if you sign in with Google. Our fonts also load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.

Who can see your data

Your planner, files and notes are private to your account. StudyFlow administrators can see account details (email, plan, status, last activity), counts of AI requests, activity records, and the support requests you send. They use this to operate and support the service. Administrators are not shown what you typed into AI Study.

Analytics and cookies

We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers. The activity records above are kept in our own database. See the Cookie Policy for browser storage.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. We have not set automatic time limits for deleting data.

You can delete your account at any time from Account & plan. Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in, profile, courses, assignments, exams, uploaded PDFs, syllabus drafts, saved notes, AI request records, activity records and support requests. If you have an active Pro subscription, you need to cancel it first so you are not charged again.

What is kept: records of administrator actions (which may include your account ID), and the payment and tax records that Paddle keeps under its own policies. Copies may also stay in our hosting provider's backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.

Your choices and rights

You can view, edit and delete your planner data in the app, and delete your account yourself. To ask for a copy of your data or about anything else in this policy, contact us as described below. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law.

Who StudyFlow is for

StudyFlow is designed for college and university students. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

AI limitations

AI can be wrong. Always check dates and requirements against your official course materials.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Our servers check that you can only reach your own planner, files and notes. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above.
